Sick Shift has been an internet success, getting played 500 times a day at MP3.com. They have received very positive marks from Skratch Magazine, Spin Records, and The Independent, among others. Though currently independent, they are actively touring and scouting for a label.
Their style of hard melodic punk is energetic and aggressive: "... this is the ideal type of music to listen to in order to get amped, or to play while partying and raising hell". Though often labelled as a "pop-punk" band, they are nowhere near the likes of Blink 182 and Green Day. They are hard, fast, aggressive, and high energy. Sick Shift draws ideas from punk, hardcore, and metal to produce an in-your-face sound that's loud but clean.
